Winterthur, Switzerland – The SC Winterthur U17 water polo team put on a dominant display against Genève Natation 1885 U17, securing a resounding 17-9 victory in their recent clash at Winterthur HB.
Right from the opening whistle, it was clear that Winterthur was the team to beat. They took control of the game early on, scoring three unanswered goals in the first quarter to establish a commanding lead. Tamas Kek opened the scoring for Winterthur, followed by goals from Nevio Dauru and Stefan Petkovic. The home crowd was on their feet as Winterthur took a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Winterthur continued their dominance, adding four more goals to their tally. As the final seconds ticked away, Ion Buzu of Genève Natation scored a consolation goal, resulting in a final score of 17-9 in favor of Winterthur.
