Team USA is the World Champion 2024 in Doha. The team coached by Adam Krikorian won a thrilling match against Hungary and set the tone of the game from the start, taking the lead with three goals scored by Maggie Steffen, a perfectly executed lob by Jordan Raney, and Rachel Fattal on an extra player situation.
Hungary responded with a long-distance goal of Krisztina Garda and Rebecca Parkes from the center position.

The second quarter went evenly, with both teams scoring for the halftime result of 5 to 4.

A good defense and excellent goalkeeper saves characterized the third quarter. Only Greta Gurisatti of Hungary could score, bringing the score to 5-5 in the third quarter.

All the water polo fans in the Aspire Dome Arena expected a thing last quarter, but this was not in the USA’s plans.
Rachel Fattal, Maggie Steffen, and Ryann Steffen scored for an 8 to 5 advantage with less than four minutes to play.
Hungary responded again with Rita Keszthelyi showing all of her MVP class and scoring two goals, bringing Hungary back into the game (8-7) with 57 seconds to play.
