The first big trophy of the year will be assigned on the coast of Lake Zurich after the final scheduled for Saturday, May 27th. Three national league A team and one B team are competing for the Swiss Waterpolo Cup 2023.
The semifinals will start at 18:30 with Lugano Aquatics challenging the Swiss champions from Kreuzlingen. The Luganesi had a diffucult start this Season after loosing some important players as the brothers Deni (SP Bissone) and Goran Fiorentini (retired) but showed to be able to compete with the best teams.
The second game will see the home team from Horgen against the Lausanne Aquatique. The team from lake leman was able to qualify over wins against WBA Tristar and in the derby against Aquatics Club XXI led by the goals of Ilyes Moussa Benyassine. They picked a strong oppenent in the semifinals, with Horgen having a winning streak in the NLA.
