Kreuzlingen adds another Swiss Cup to its trophy cabinet.
The Swiss Champion was not challenged in the semifinals by Riviera Barracudas, winning by 30-5.
In the other semifinal, Geneva confirmed its great form by beating Lugano 12 to 11, thanks to another good game by its foreign players, Ante Korusic and Kresimir Butic, and solid defense. Lugano, which qualified for the final six by beating difficult opponents like SP Bissone and SC Horgen, won the third-place medal against Barracudas with a 22 to 5 result.
The final between Kreuzlingen and Geneva was extremely tight, with both teams returning in the game and up to the advantage for the home team by 10 to 9 in the third quarter.
Kreuzlingen then scored multiple times in the last quarter, bringing the final score to 15 to 11 and winning its 11th Swiss Cup.
