In an electrifying match at the Vaudoise Arena / Centre Aquatique, Lausanne Aquatique I U15 and CN Nyon U15 battled to a thrilling 6-6 draw in the U15 league game held on 17th April 2024.

The game started with Lausanne Aquatique I taking an early lead in the first quarter, scoring two goals while keeping CN Nyon off the scoreboard. The intensity continued into the second quarter, with both teams trading goals. Oscar Harrington’s extra man goal extended Lausanne’s lead, only for Raphaël Fontanella to pull one back for CN Nyon. The teams entered halftime with Lausanne Aquatique I leading 3-1.

The third quarter saw a remarkable comeback from CN Nyon as they outscored Lausanne 4-2. Raphaël Fontanella was on fire, scoring three goals including two penalties, bringing the score to 5-6 in favor of CN Nyon. However, Csanad Berces managed to equalize for Lausanne in the dying seconds of the quarter.

The final quarter was a nail-biter as both teams fought hard for the victory. Csanad Berces scored his second goal to put Lausanne ahead, but Raphaël Fontanella responded with his sixth goal of the game to level the score at 6-6. Despite a missed penalty by CN Nyon’s Platon Akulinin, neither team could find the winning goal in the closing moments, resulting in a hard-fought draw.

Both teams displayed great skill and determination throughout the match, with Lausanne Aquatique I showcasing their efficiency in extra man situations, scoring 2 out of 7 (28.57%), while CN Nyon capitalized on penalty shots, converting 2 out of 3 (66.67%).
