Recap

Switzerland loses against a stronger and better-prepared France. Our country’s neighbors were expected to play for placement in the higher ranks of the tournament but lost the group games against Netherlands and Israel and placed third in the group. France is the best team in the round for places 17 to 24 in the tournament and could have been avoided with a win over Ukraine on the third day.
Switzerland faced the same challenges as in the game against Germany: a strong pressing, and fast counterattack finalized by precise and robust shooting.
Goalkeepers Kaydi Xantippe and Victor Aly-Maneint helped to keep the score low.
At the same time, Glenn Valsangiacomo and Christian Würth showed some good realization skills when they could shoot at the opponent’s goal.

Switzerland will play Saturday, 15th of July, at noon in the final for place 19 against the loser of the game between Bulgaria and Ukraine.
