Recap

Switzerland started the game with the support of their loud fans. Georgia surprised the Swiss U15 players with a very mature game enhanced by their lefthanders Merabi Matchavariani (4 goals) and Luka Khurtsilava. In addition, Switzerland missed two penalty shots until Christian Würth scored with a long shot after good faking movements ending the first quarter 4 to 1.

The second quarter showed an excellent center-forward game, with Fynn Vucinic gaining exclusions at any ball touch and a decisive goal from Alessandro Carnovale at the 2 meters. Despite a good reaction from the Swiss team and good saves from goalkeepers Kaydi Xantippe and Victor Aly-Maneint, Georgia kept its focus and utilized their man-up situations to double the score to 8 to 2 at the end of the first half.

The third quarter showed some errors in offense, defense, and goals from Christian Würth, Gabriel Catillaz, and Arnau Montoliu via a long shot from the right side.

Despite the score of 14 to 5 at the end of the third quarter and many players ejected with three fouls, Switzerland showed its best period in the last quarter. Carnovale could score from a long distance and a penalty shoot; Fynn Vucinic transformed a well-placed penalty shot, and Arnau Montoliu by counterattack and penalty shoot. Switzerland lost the quarter by 4 to 5 but showed good team morale in a difficult situation.

The Swiss team, managed by Zoltan Hyc and Sébastien Viriot, will play tomorrow at 13:00 for third place in the group against a well-organized Ukraine.
