Switzerland had a tough start against Georgia, one of the group’s favorites. The Helvetic team suffered from the opponent’s pressing and fast transition into counterattacks. Georgia could lead by 13 to 5 by the end of the first half.
Switzerland’s qualification continues with tomorrow’s games against Slovenia and Sweden.

Head Coach Benjamin Redder commented to wball.ch: “We had a difficult second quarter. Otherwise, we could have played against them, had our chances, and were also able to make their life difficult in defense. On the other hand, we struggled against their strong center forward. I’m fine with the end result, and it’s tomorrow that we need to go for points.”
