Recap
Switzerland U17 Women start the tournament with a loss against Malta. The Swiss team played with high motivation and showed good shooting skills but could not break Malta’s exotic zone (center back acting as a second goalie to prevent lob shots).
Captian Amy Nussbaumer after the game: “I think the teams were nearly of equal strength, and we had some good chances, but we missed a lot of goals that we should have made.”
Samira Schwab: “We weren’t as concentrated as usual, but it’s just the beginning, so that we will improve.”
Switzerland will play the next game against Romania tomorrow, July 31st at 9:30.
