It was the second match against Ukraine after playing already in the group phase, where Switzerland lost 16 to 9, conceding a lot of free room to the Ukrainian team. Switzerland began the game without starting center forward Fynn Vucininic, who had to pass due to a malaise. Ukraine was able to score after only 14 seconds due to a defensive mistake we usually see at the U11 level: two Swiss players attacked the same opponent, while a dangerous Dmytro Kriuchkov was left free and was able to score the first of his seven goals. Ukraine scored another three goals after a misjudgment of the referees (the ball was on the line and did not enter the goal), a penalty shot, and a goal in man-up. Ukraine again had a perfect start in the game leading 4 to 0 at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter showed a good reaction from the Swiss team, with Glenn Valsangiacomo scoring twice and the helvetic defense allowing only two goals, mainly due to wrong placement in defense.
Ukraine took advantage of the halftime break to reset and scored another two goals bringing themself to an 8 to 2 lead. This was when Glenn Valsangiacomo scored a beautiful goal: after positioning as second center swimming from the left wing, he performed a center rotation and shot on the right side of the goal taking the Ukrainian goalkeeper by surprise. The player of Aquastar repeated the same goal minutes later. Valsangiamo ended the game by scoring all five goals for Switzerland.
The last quarter was dominated again by Ukraine, who were able to score another four goals.
With this result, Switzerland finished in the 20th position ahead of Slovenia, Czechia, Lithuania, Ireland, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
