Over two-thirds of the championship have been played, and Kreuzlingen has proven again to be the most effective team in this part of the championship. Not only they dominated the Swiss Cup final, but they also had some significant wins this week.

SC Kreuzlingen vs SC Horgen

The first quarter started with Horgen taking the lead with goals from Petar Bjelajac, Marko Manojlovic, and Greg Enloy. Still, Kreuzlingen responded by taking advantage of some flows in the defense with goals from Simon Geiser, Yves Herzog, Robin Pleyer, and Gabor Turzai to finish the first quarter even.

We started very confident with some distractions in the defense. Kreuzlingen continous scoring made us too unsecure in offense.

The second and third quarter was again a show of force for the home team, which brought themselves in front 13-5 over a disoriented Horgen.
Kreuzlingen could even give their first goalkeeper Darko Aleksic some rest, which Horgen used to score eight goals in the last quarter despite losing their center Marko Manojlovic due to misconduct at the end of the third quarter. This was too late to impact the game result.

Carouge Natation vs SC Kreuzlingen

That is the second important win in the last week for the Swiss Champion after the win over Carouge on Sunday 4th of June, and it brings the team from Lake Constance to an excellent position. Kreuzlingen has yet to play twice against northern Switzerland rival SC Schaffhausen to remain at the league’s top.

SC Horgen vs Lugano Sharks

Horgen could win twice against Lugano Sharks over the weekend and is looking forward to crucial matches against Schaffhausen and Carouge over the following weeks. The team from Canton Ticino has a very young but highly talented team. The Luganesi, still waiting for the recovery of their critical foresight player Federico Pagani, count on the experience of center Tommaso Busilacci, Yassin Scala, and Sebastien Zanola. The rest of the team comprises mostly young players still competing in the U17 league. During the last weekend, eight players of Lugano had a double shift playing against Horgen U17 and subsequently against the senior squad. Therefore Lugano is making an excellent investment in the future, giving a lot of playing time to such young players under the guidance of an experienced coach as Jonathan Del Galdo.
